Day 234/365: Aug 22, 2014

I’m thankful for:

  • A working broom thanks to my helpful hubby armed with hot glue.
  • Gideon’s first babyccino (steamed milk) – thanks to a friendly barista.
  • Teamwork with a toddler to clean up toys before guests arrived.

I think the parents were more impressed than the little guy was with the babyccino.

Day 223/365: Aug 11, 2014

I’m thankful for:

  • A frappuccino, a great friend, and a non-antsy toddler – all at the same time.
  • The realization that it isn’t so bad after all to get the face wet in the bath (as long as he does it himself).
  • Silly, belly laughs from my son.

He would get all startled with the water he poured in his own face and then do a laugh to show he was alright. I love this kid.

Day 171/365: Jun 20, 2014

I’m thankful for:

  • A husband’s thoughtful generosity = a chocolate cronut again!
  • Tylenol to help with the little guy’s mild fever.
  • A sweet time of prayer shared with friends.

Mmmm. Now you have a picture to match my thankful post from last week! 😀

Day 164/365: Jun 13, 2014

I’m thankful for:

  • The husband treating me to my very first cronut at Starbucks.
  • Being able to have some of the cronut even though I think the toddler  would’ve eaten it all had we let him.
  • The swimming pool to ourselves after dinner.

This guy was pretending the high chair was a ride… Sugar high I think.

Day 154/365: Jun 3, 2014

I’m thankful for:

  • An uninterrupted night’s sleep = boy is done with jet lagged nights.
  • By accident sleeping in, but not too too late.
  • Lunch and caffeine unexpectedly shared with the hubby.

Daddy’s lap = best chair available at Starbucks.

Day 71/365: Mar 12, 2014

I’m thankful for:

  • An early morning trip to Starbucks and the treat of a cheese bagel.
  • A simple store sign reminding me to be “on” for the day – even when I don’t feel like it.
  • That the Lord made toddlers to be resilient, and that our toddler survived his misstep this evening with nothing worse than a bumped/bruised head.

Ironically the “on” sign was “off.” :p
