Day 279/365: Oct 6, 2014

I’m thankful for:

  • The joy of a family bike ride being greater than the pain of a sore butt.
  • Sharing lunch with a friend and hearing her distinct laughter.
  • A toddler posing for his own fake selfie.

He makes silly stances, holds his “phone,” and says “chhhhh”.

Day 225/365: Aug 13, 2014

I’m thankful for:

  • Being able to wish my sister a happy birthday face to face.
  • The ability of my son to [often] get his point across even with a limited vocabulary.
  • Said son insisting I wear bent sunglasses and take a selfie.

It may be icky humid sweaty weather, but we are still pretty “cool.”

Day 92/365: Apr 2, 2014

I’m thankful for:

  • Down time with the hubby in the evening.
  • A new-ish (discovered a few weeks ago) favorite flavor of Toblerone.
  • A special treat that survived being hidden in a box till now.

Rarely do I take a selfie… but this chocolate treat was worthy of one. 🙂

Day 59/365: Feb 28, 2014

I’m thankful for:

  • My husband and my son letting me sleep in two days in a row.
  • The ladies at Subway giving the hungry toddler extra olives.
  • A few minutes waiting for a shuttle for Andrew – long enough to take a picture.

Do you call it a self-ie when it’s of a whole family?

Day 35/365: Feb 4, 2014

I’m thankful for:

  • My son’s blue eyes and blond hair and cute smile.
  • My own brown eyes and brown hair and loving smile.
  • Snuggles and silly hugs given by my toddler.
